Back in mid-February I wrote about the changing face of Invercargill as demolition work started on some old buildings that sit on the site where a new hotel  to be known as The Langlands is to be built.

Well – things have progressed steadily since then as all the old buildings have now been taken right down, but with high wooden fences surrounding the site, there has not been much to see.

However a day or two ago I as I wandered past the site I saw the wooden gates were wide open so I took the opportunity to snap a few inside photos with my cell phone.

The main image at the top of this post is a panorama which Google Photos kindly created for me from the other three photos of the construction site I uploaded.

And here are a couple of views of the site taken from Dee Street.

This is by no means the end of the changing of the face of Invercargill as just a few days ago resource content for Invercargill’s proposed CBD $200 million redevelopment was granted.
